Ardbeg graces us with a beautiful, new release every year. This year explores the geographical origin of the oak used to mature this meaty, peaty and salty spirit. The use of Baltic white oak adds a depth of black pepper to the whisky, rounding the classic flavour profile of the spirit.
Nose: Maple-glazed bacon with rich peat reek and freshly-cracked black pepper.
Palate: Initial hint of vanilla bean followed by the classic Islay smokiness leading to peppered smoked meats. The herbal notes of dried hay then follow to a well rounded finish.
